{Review} - We Were Liars

**May have some spoilers!**

Everyone and their dog has heard of 'We Were Liars', yet everyone has manged to keep the plot and ending under wraps (which is a surprise for some). So, pretty much everyone who dives into this little book by E. Lockhart, won't know too much about whats going on, and the narrative gives very little away at the start of the book, and we think we're in for yet another teen angst YA novel...wrong!

Althought WWL does deal with some issues, the main plot is based in the holiday island that all of the family stay at during summer. When we are introduced to the other 'liars' things start to get interesting. It mostly seems like a pretty dysfunctional family, trying to act like the all like each other, as that's whats expected of them, but as the story develops you realise that's how things go from bad to worse.

“We are liars. We are beautiful and privileged. We are cracked and broken.”

I don't want to give away the plot or the ending, but it's hard to review a book without doing so. Just remember, not everything is as it seems when reading this book.

I did figure out what had actually happened before the ending, but that didn't stop me crying like a baby. So, for that reason only I give it 4/5 rather than 5/5. It was great, a really fast read, which took a lot of twists and turns, you should definitely read it if you haven't already!

What did you guys think of it? Did you see the ending coming too?
